    In April 2013, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) proposed a settlement with Bosley, Inc., a hair restoration company, over allegations of illegal exchange of sensitive, nonpublic business information with its competitor, HC (USA), Inc., also known as Hair Club. The FTC claimed that these exchanges facilitated coordination and endangered competition, violating Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, which prohibits unfair competition.
