TLDR The new hairline classification and correction methods can improve the appearance of Asian women with wide or M-shaped foreheads.
In the study, the hairline contours of 234 Asian female volunteers were classified into five groups, and hairline correction was performed on 350 female patients with wide foreheads and M-shaped hairlines. The average area needing correction was 30.1 cm², requiring approximately 1,054 follicular units. The authors concluded that their classification system and refined hairline correction techniques would be beneficial for correcting wide foreheads with M-shaped or rectangular hairline contours in Asian women. The surgical technique described aims to improve facial balance by addressing the height and width of the forehead, potentially increasing patient satisfaction with their aesthetic appearance.
