Environmental Exposures and Reproductive Health

    Silva, Emily Luisa
TLDR Environmental and social factors greatly affect women's reproductive health.
This dissertation examines the impact of environmental exposures on women's reproductive and gynecological health, emphasizing the vulnerability of women to endocrine disruptors. It investigates the association between air pollutants and earlier menarche, the effect of benzophenone-3 on ovarian reserve, and the link between social vulnerability and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis. The findings suggest that environmental and social factors significantly influence reproductive outcomes, highlighting the need for improved healthcare systems to address these issues and enhance women's health equity.
