Enhancing skin regeneration in gamma irradiated mice by Low-level laser Therapy

    TLDR Low-level laser therapy speeds up skin healing and stimulates hair follicles in mice after radiation exposure.
    In 2019, a study was conducted on 264 female mice to investigate the biostimulatory effects of Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) on the skin of gamma-irradiated mice. The mice were divided into six groups, with varying exposure to gamma rays and LLLT. The LLLT was carried out using a computerized scanner emitting He-Ne (CW) at a wavelength of 632.8 nm. The study concluded that LLLT accelerates skin regeneration after exposure to ionizing radiation in both shot and cumulative modes. Additionally, the study found that He-Ne LLLT had a biostimulatory effect on hair follicles.
