Efficacy Observation on Mild to Moderate Active Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Treated with Compound Zishenqing Formula

    The study investigated the effects of the compound zishenqing formula combined with hormone and hydroxychloroquine sulfate on 60 female patients with mild to moderate systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The treatment group showed significantly better improvements in clinical symptoms, disorder activity scores, and laboratory indexes compared to the control group, which received only western medication. The treatment also allowed for a significant reduction in hormone dosage and had fewer side effects, such as insomnia. The compound zishenqing formula was found to be safe, reliable, and effective in improving immune indices and reducing the side effects of western medications.
