EFFICACY OF JAWARISH FALAFALI IN QILLAT-I-IFRAZE DARQIA (HYPOTHYROIDISM) - A CASE STUDY

    A case study from 2023 examined the efficacy of Jawarish Falafali, a Unani formulation, in treating a 35-year-old female with hypothyroidism, who presented with symptoms such as weight gain, joint pain, hair loss, and general weakness. After 2 months of treatment, the patient showed significant improvement, with a reduction in symptoms and a decrease in TSH levels from 8.9 IU/mL to 3.5 IU/mL, while T3 and T4 levels remained normal. The study suggested that Unani medication could be an effective treatment for hypothyroidism.
