The study "Eficacia y seguridad del minoxidil oral a bajas dosis en hombres con alopecia androgénica" conducted by Federico Pastore involved 32 male patients aged 18 to 45 years with androgenic alopecia. The patients were treated with a daily dose of 1.25 mg of oral minoxidil for 24 weeks. Of these patients, 18 (56.2%) had never received treatment, while 14 (43.8%) had previously failed treatment with 5% topical minoxidil twice a day or oral finasteride for at least 1.5 to 2 years.
