TLDR Cinobufacin with chemotherapy improves treatment response and quality of life in advanced breast cancer patients while reducing some side effects.
The study reviewed the efficacy and safety of Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy for advanced breast cancer, involving 1,331 patients across 16 studies. Results indicated that the combination treatment improved overall response rate, clinical benefit rate, KPS scores, and pain relief compared to chemotherapy alone. Tumor markers CA125, CA153, and CEA were lower in the combination group. Additionally, the combination treatment reduced the incidence of gastrointestinal reactions, liver and kidney damage, and hair loss, though peripheral neurotoxicity and myelosuppression rates were similar between groups. Overall, Cinobufacin combined with chemotherapy enhanced clinical efficacy and patient quality of life while reducing certain adverse effects.
