Effects on the Hair Texture Improvement of Bleach Hair in Case when Applying Castor Oil

The study "Effects on the Hair Texture Improvement of Bleach Hair in Case when Applying Castor Oil" investigated the impact of castor oil on damaged hair. Different hair care formulations with varying castor oil contents (0g, 1g, 2g, 3g) were prepared and applied to hair samples. The results showed that after the application of the hair care formulations, L* values decreased, a* and b* values slightly increased, and de-coloring values were 20.11 NTU after Day 1, with no de-coloring observed from Day 4. Tensile strength increased in all samples using level 7 and 9, while absorbance slightly decreased after the application of the formulations. No significant difference was observed in gloss across all samples. The study concluded that applying castor oil to damaged hair increased tensile strength and decreased absorbance, indicating improvements in hair texture.
