TLDR Eclipta alba can effectively kill worms like the drug Albendazole.
The study investigates the anthelmintic potential of methanolic extract of Eclipta alba (Bhringraj) against the earthworm species Pheretima posthuma. Various concentrations (25-100 mg/ml) were tested, and the results showed that the extract significantly (p<0.01) caused paralysis at doses of 50, 75, and 100 mg/ml and death at 75 and 100 mg/ml, compared to the standard drug albendazole. This suggests that Eclipta alba has promising anthelmintic properties.
