TLDR The girl's skin condition is benign but challenging to treat due to its size and location.
A 7-year-old girl was diagnosed with multiple eccrine pilar angiomatous nevi, a rare variant of eccrine angiomatous hamartomas, characterized by bruise-like, hairy nodules on her right leg. These lesions, present since infancy, showed increased blood vessels, eccrine glands, and thicker collagen bundles upon histopathological examination. The condition, typically benign and slow-growing, can be treated with simple excision if lesions are painful or cosmetically concerning. However, the patient's large and multifocal nevi made excision challenging. The case highlighted the importance of histopathology for diagnosis and considered MRI for further evaluation, with potential treatments including laser hair removal for associated hypertrichosis.
