This review examines the role of autologous platelet concentrates (APCs) in intra-oral bone regeneration, focusing on L-PRF, PRGF, and PRP. L-PRF shows significant benefits in alveolar ridge preservation, sinus floor augmentation, and treatment of bony craters around teeth, with notable bone gain and improvements in periodontal parameters. It is effective both as a single substitute and in combination with a xenograft. PRGF and PRP data are less convincing, with PRP being controversial. L-PRF's advantages include ease of production and being fully autologous, making it a promising option in periodontal regenerative procedures.
