TLDR Dietary phytoestrogens do not significantly affect testicular cancer risk.
This study investigated the relationship between dietary phytoestrogens and testicular cancer risk through a case-control study involving 159 testicular cancer cases and 136 controls. The analysis considered various phytoestrogenic compounds and adjusted for multiple factors, including age, education, and dietary habits. The results showed no clear increased or decreased risk of testicular cancer associated with phytoestrogen intake, although a U-shaped pattern was noted for lignans and coumestrol. Overall, the study did not support the hypothesis that dietary phytoestrogens significantly affect testicular cancer risk in young men.
