The study on dermatophytosis in Surabaya, involving 864 patients from 2017 to 2022, found that tinea corporis and tinea cruris were the most common forms, with tinea manuum being the least common. Female adults were predominantly affected, and alopecia was noted in tinea capitis cases. Trichophyton mentagrophytes was the most frequent pathogen identified in 2017. Treatments followed Clinical Practice Guidelines, using griseofulvin and ketoconazole cream. The study suggests further research into treatment outcomes, prevention, and factors affecting recurrence and adherence. The study's strength is its comprehensive data collection over six years, though it is limited by reliance on medical records and being a single-center study.
