TLDR Eating disorders often cause skin issues, which can help in early diagnosis and treatment.
Eating and nutritional disorders, such as anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), and pica, often present with dermatological symptoms like xerosis, acne, and alopecia, which can aid in early diagnosis. Over 90% of those affected are women, with these disorders typically beginning in adolescence or young adulthood. The severity of skin symptoms can indicate the prognosis of the eating disorder, and treating the disorder often resolves these symptoms. A multidisciplinary approach involving dermatologists and psychiatrists is recommended for effective diagnosis and treatment. The document emphasizes the need for more research on the connection between eating disorders and dermatological symptoms to establish diagnostic criteria and preventive measures.

Adequate nourishment and hormone replenishment helped with hair regrowth. Vegamour and Novo blends hair vitamins were also used but likely not effective alone.
