The study investigated dermatological changes in acutely ill, hospitalized Malawian children, focusing on their nutritional status. Contrary to historical data, skin changes were not as prevalent in this cohort. Additionally, the study found that using the SKORDoK tool for dermatological assessment through photographs was less reliable than anticipated.
