    The document reported a case of cutaneous focal mucinosis in a 12-year-old Chinese girl who had a well-defined, hypopigmented plaque on her chin for 1 year. Cutaneous or dermal mucinoses are connective tissue disorders characterized by mucin accumulation in the skin or hair follicle, presenting in various morphologic forms and often being mistaken for other diseases. This condition is rare in children.
