TLDR Most hospitalized COVID-19 patients experienced shortness of breath, dry cough, fever, muscle pain, and fatigue.
The study, conducted between March 2020 and June 2020, examined 210 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, primarily male (59.5%), with a mean age of 53.95 ± 19.55 years. The most common clinical symptoms at the time of referral were shortness of breath (75.7%), dry cough (52.9%), fever (50.5%), myalgia (muscle pain) (45.7%), and fatigue (41.9%). Fever at admission was significantly more common in patients under 50 years old (p=0.034). There was no significant difference in common symptoms between men and women. The mean onset of symptoms until hospitalization was 6.51 days, and 20.3% of patients required admission to the intensive care unit.
