TLDR The new controlled release PRP therapy shows promise for hair growth in women.
The document discussed the development of a new controlled release PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy for women experiencing hair loss. Traditional PRP therapy, while effective, had limitations such as insufficient results and the risk of anemia from repeated blood draws. The new method utilized Dalteparin and protamine micro-particles (D/P MPs) as carriers for PRP, which could be easily made with common clinical techniques and materials. Initial small clinical experiences indicated that this controlled release PRP therapy was effective for hair growth and potentially useful for skin rejuvenation. Further research and improvements were needed to fully establish its efficacy.
