Clinical Evaluation of Standardized Bhringaraj (Eclipta alba) Extract Tablets in Hair Fall: A 24 Week Prospective Trial

    A 24-week prospective trial evaluated the effects of standardized Bhringaraj (Eclipta alba) extract tablets on hair fall in 54 adults, with 50 completing the study. Participants experienced a significant reduction in hair shedding, with comb test counts decreasing by 62.5% and weekly diary counts by 59.9%. Additionally, 84% of participants reported improvement in hair fall. The treatment was well-tolerated, with no serious adverse events, suggesting that Bhringaraj extract tablets may be a promising option for managing hair fall, warranting further controlled trials.
