The study conducted in 1989 involved 16 male and female patients with cicatricial or androgenetic alopecia who underwent implantation of synthetic fibers as artificial hair. The follow-up assessments were conducted at 3 days, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months post-implantation, using clinical evaluations and macrophotography to assess the density, durability, and complications of the synthetic hair in small bald areas measuring 0.25 cm².
