TLDR A benign skin tumor was removed from a man's leg, and it didn't come back after 9 months.
A 58-year-old man was diagnosed with trichoblastoma, a benign skin tumor composed of follicular germinative cells, which appeared as a 5.0×4.0×2.0 cm multilobular tumor on his right lower leg for 2 years. Histopathological analysis revealed a well-circumscribed dermal tumor with multilobular islands of palisaded basaloid epithelial cells, surrounded by hyalinized collagen bundles and fibroblasts, resembling hair bulbs. The tumor tested positive for cytokeratin 14 and negative for cytokeratin 10. It was completely excised with clear margins, and no recurrence was observed 9 months post-surgery.
