This case report discusses a 40-year-old woman with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who developed calcinosis cutis, a rare complication characterized by painful skin lesions and soft tissue calcifications. Despite normal serum calcium and phosphorus levels, her condition was confirmed through histopathological examination. Initial treatment involved surgical excision and immunosuppressive agents, but the patient experienced a persistent infected wound, necessitating further antibiotic therapy and repeat surgery. The report highlights the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of calcinosis cutis in SLE patients due to its rarity and potential complications.
