Effectiveness of Bakuchi (Psoralea Corylifolia Linn.) as Rasayana Therapy in Psoriasis - A Case Report

    This case report details the treatment of a 61-year-old male with chronic plaque psoriasis using a combination of sodhana (biopurification) and Bakuchi rasayana (rejuvenation) therapies. The patient, who had been suffering from itchy, scaly lesions for 12 years, experienced a significant improvement in symptoms after the treatment, with his PASI score decreasing from 14.5 to 4.8. The Bakuchi rasayana regimen, noted for its simplicity and palatability, contributed to an enhanced quality of life and improved bowel function. The study highlights the effectiveness of this Ayurvedic approach in managing psoriasis symptoms.
