Management of Indralupta (Alopecia Areata) Through Ayurveda - A Case Report

This case report discusses the management of alopecia areata, known as Indralupta in Ayurveda, in an 11-year-old male patient. The treatment involved classical Ayurvedic methods, including Raktamoskhan by Jalauka (leech therapy) and the use of internal and external drugs, along with a specific diet regimen. Over a period of 4 months, the patient experienced significant regrowth of scalp hair, demonstrating the effectiveness of traditional Ayurvedic treatments for managing alopecia areata.
