TLDR Neem leaf extract combined with eucalyptus and lemongrass oils can effectively treat Tinea capitis.
The study evaluated the antifungal properties of neem leaf extract combined with Eucalyptus citriodora and Cymbopogon martini oils against Tinea capitis-causing fungi, Microsporum canis and Trichophyton tonsurans, using in-vitro methods. Results showed that neem leaf extract and the oils inhibited fungal growth at specific concentrations, with a broader antifungal spectrum observed when combined. The presence of terpenoids in neem leaves contributed to the antifungal activity. The combination of these natural extracts could be developed into an effective treatment for managing Tinea capitis.
