TLDR Topical minoxidil improved hair loss in a patient when used consistently.
A 28-year-old male with androgenetic alopecia showed improvement after using topical minoxidil 5% twice daily for 4 months. The case report highlights the effectiveness of minoxidil as an initial treatment option and suggests that combining it with other therapies like plasma rich platelets and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors may enhance results. The patient's positive outcome was attributed to good compliance, despite mild side effects like itchiness and dandruff. The report emphasizes that treatment success depends on patient compliance, preference, and availability of treatments.
