An Experimental Study of Morphofunctional Features of Hair Follicles Early Response in Cyclophosphamide-Induced Alopecia

The study investigated the effects of 3-β-methoxy-Δ18-oleanene (miliacin) on hair follicles in cyclophosphamide-induced alopecia using 30 male C57BL/6 mice. The mice were divided into five groups, with group IV receiving topical applications of miliacin. Results showed that in group IV, hair follicles were mostly in early and middle anagen stages with minimal dystrophy, while groups III and V exhibited dystrophic hair follicles. The study concluded that miliacin accelerates the transition of damaged hair follicles through the hair cycle, promoting a new cycle of hair growth.
