TLDR The treatment improved hair growth and reduced scalp symptoms.
This case report discusses a 44-year-old man diagnosed with both alopecia areata (AA) and seborrheic dermatitis (SD), conditions that can occur independently or together. The patient experienced patchy hair loss for four years and itchy, scaly red patches on the scalp for one month. Treatment included intralesional corticosteroids, a combination cream of clobetasol and ketoconazole, and loratadine. After one week, there was an improvement in symptoms, with the disappearance of scales and redness, and hair growth was observed within four weeks. The treatment was effective in managing both AA and SD.
