TLDR A 5 cm hair sample can reveal blood type and keratin type for forensic use.
The study demonstrated that a single 5 cm hair sample could be used to determine both AB(O) blood group antigens and keratin phenotype. Hair proteins were extracted using a specific buffer and analyzed through gradient polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. This method allowed for the simultaneous detection of AB(O) antigens and keratin polymorphism in forensic investigations.
