    The document reviewed Ayurvedic management of Khalitya (Alopecia areata), highlighting that modern lifestyle factors such as stress, pollutants, and hormonal imbalances contributed to premature hair loss. It criticized the use of chemical oils and shampoos for worsening the condition. The study focused on Virechana Karma (Purgation) combined with systemic medicines and Rasayan drugs, finding that Virechana Karma was extremely beneficial in managing Khalitya. The review aimed to identify a more promising Ayurvedic remedy for this condition.
