Analysis of Differences in Sunscreen Use Based on Demographic Variables Using the NHANES Database

    This study analyzed sunscreen-wearing behavior (SWB) using data from the NHANES database from 2005 to 2020, involving 19,797 cases. The results showed that females were significantly more likely to wear sunscreen than males, particularly from 2017-2020. Individuals aged 29-56 were more likely to use sunscreen compared to those aged 0-28. Additionally, non-Hispanic Black individuals were less likely to wear sunscreen than non-Hispanic White individuals. These findings were consistent across three different year-cohorts.
