Comparison of the Therapeutic Effect of 2% Topical Minoxidil with Rosemary Solution in the Treatment of Alopecia Areata on the Scalp

    TLDR Rosemary is as effective as Minoxidil for treating alopecia areata.
    This study compared the effects of 2% topical Minoxidil and rosemary solution on 78 patients with Alopecia Areata. Patients were divided into two groups, each receiving one of the treatments, and applied the solution twice daily for two months. The results showed no significant difference in cure rates between the two groups, indicating that both treatments were equally effective. The study concluded that rosemary could be recommended as an effective and affordable treatment for alopecia areata, similar to Minoxidil.
