This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of cross-linked hyaluronic acid injections for rejuvenating the upper eyelids in patients with sunken or hollowed eyes. Thirty participants were divided into two groups: Group A with sunken eyes and Group B with hollowed eyes and mild excess skin. They were treated with 20mg/ml of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (Hyamira/Italian brand) using a 25-gauge blunt cannula. Assessments were made through photographs and measurements at 2 weeks and 3 months post-injection. The study included 30 patients with a mean age of 37.5 ± 8.2 years; 19 (63.3%) had hollowed eyes, and 11 (36.67%) had sunken eyes. There was a significant difference in the mean injection period between the two groups, with Group A requiring more time for injection at both 2 weeks and 3 months. The conclusion of the study was that the treatment provided a noticeable rejuvenation of the upper eyelids, resulting in a more youthful appearance without sunken or hollowed eyes, lasting for more than 1 year.
