TLDR HOTTIP and miR-10b may be targeted to improve glioma treatment by reducing resistance to chemotherapy.
The study analyzed liver tissue in reproductive-age dogs with various liver pathologies, including hepatic adenoma, liver cancer, and non-cancerous diseases. It found that in non-cancerous conditions, the liver tissue utilized structural adaptation resources but tended towards destruction, allowing for potential treatment. In contrast, with tumors, the liver tissue became simplified and structured, focusing on growth, which reduced the likelihood of successful treatment. The study involved histological examination of liver samples from dogs aged 9 months to 5 years, with sample sizes ranging from 21 to 72 for different conditions. Differences in entropy and structural organization between non-cancerous and cancerous liver conditions affected treatment outcomes.
