Prosteride by HAB Pharma is an oral medication containing 5mg of Finasteride per tablet. It is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by inhibiting the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which causes prostate enlargement. Additionally, it is used to treat male pattern hair loss by increasing hair growth and preventing further hair loss. The active ingredient, Finasteride, works as a 5α-reductase inhibitor, reducing DHT levels in the blood and hair follicles. This helps shrink the prostate in men with BPH and reverses the balding process in men with mild to moderate hair loss. Prosteride is not intended for use by women.
