Minoxidil by Teva Canada is a topical medication containing 5% Minoxidil, used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). It is the generic form of Rogaine® and works by increasing blood flow, lengthening the growing phase of hair follicles, and increasing the size of hair follicles. Manufactured in Canada, Minoxidil is applied to the scalp twice daily. It is effective in preventing further hair loss and may cause hair regrowth in some men. Common side effects include scalp irritation and itching.
