Reduction of scalp inflammation: Chronic inflammation is thought to contribute to hair loss. The supplier's laboratory data report reduced pro-inflammatory markers such as IL-8 and IL-1α; whether this changes shedding in practice has not been established in an independent trial.

How long does it take to see results with Capixyl?

The time it takes to notice a change may depend on several clinical and personal factors, including the cause and stage of the hair loss, how consistently the product is applied, and the user's overall health. In advanced androgenetic alopecia the effects may take longer to appear, or be too subtle to see.

The trial evidence closest to Capixyl runs for 24 weeks, so six months is the realistic window in which to judge it. Lueangarun and Panchaprateep published a 24-week randomised, triple-blind controlled trial of a herbal extract combination containing Biochanin A, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 and ginseng extract against 3% minoxidil solution, and reported comparable results between the two arms. That study tested a combination product, not Capixyl itself, so it should be read as supportive background rather than proof about any particular branded serum.

If no change is seen after roughly six months of consistent use, clinicians commonly suggest testing for iron, zinc, thyroid and hormonal causes of hair loss. That is a reason to look for another diagnosis, not evidence that Capixyl treats those causes — there is no published trial of Capixyl in deficiency-related hair loss.

That figure is frequently repeated online as "46% more hair", which it is not — it describes a ratio of growing to resting follicles in a small, manufacturer-run test, and it has not been reproduced independently.

First 4 weeks: Users commonly report at most a slight decrease in shedding, with no visible change in density. Nothing measurable should be expected this early.

2 to 3 months: Some users describe hair feeling stronger or looking better in texture. Any product that reduces breakage can produce this impression without changing the number of hairs.

4 to 6 months: This is the point at which the 24-week study period ends and at which a change, if there is one, would be expected to show. Take standardised photos rather than judging by mirror.
