Hair Regeneration in Androgenetic Alopecia using Secretome of Adipose-derived Stem Cells (ADSC) and Minoxidil: A Comparative Study of Three Groups
April 2024
TLDR The combination of ADSC secretome and minoxidil was most effective for hair growth in people with hair loss.
The study "Hair Regeneration in Androgenetic Alopecia using Secretome of Adipose-derived Stem Cells (ADSC) and Minoxidil: A Comparative Study of Three Groups" involved 60 subjects with Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), a common hair loss disorder. The subjects were divided into three groups: one treated with minoxidil only, one with secretome from ADSCs only, and one with a combination of both. All treatments were administered at weeks 0, 4, and 8, with evaluations conducted until week 12. All groups showed significant improvement in hair growth from week 4, with the most substantial improvement observed at week 12. The combination group showed the best improvement in hair growth parameters. Side effects were minimal and only reported by the minoxidil group.
