TLDR The new hair loss treatment kit was safe and improved hair growth without any adverse effects.
The study assessed a new hair loss treatment kit (Pielus Anti-hair loss® lotion and shampoo) with 45 participants (35 women and 10 men) with a median age of 44 years, suffering from telogen effluvium and/or androgenetic alopecia. Over 90 days of daily use, the treatment showed no adverse events and led to significant improvements in hair growth parameters such as the number of anagen hairs, total follicular units, hair diameter, and resistance to traction, as well as a reduction in hair shedding. Both dermatologists and participants reported significant improvements in hair thickness, density, strength, scalp coverage, and volume. The products contained active ingredients like Redensyl®, SymHair® Force 1631, and Baicapil. However, the study's limitations included the absence of a placebo group, a small sample size, and a short duration, indicating the need for further research to confirm the findings.
