TLDR Higher levels of MiR-92a-1-5p and miR-328-3p found in female hair loss patients.
MiR-92a-1-5p and miR-328-3p were found to be up-regulated in the skin of female pattern hair loss patients compared to normal skin. These microRNAs may play a role in the pathogenesis of female pattern hair loss and could be potential therapeutic targets. The study included 20 female pattern hair loss patients and 20 healthy controls.
