TLDR Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin (I-PRF) showed positive results for treating hair loss, skin texture, wrinkles, and wounds.
The document from October 12, 2020, describes a case series where Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin (I-PRF) was used to treat various dermatological conditions, including androgenetic alopecia, periorbital rejuvenation, facial skin folds, and non-healing wounds. The study reported positive outcomes, such as increased hair density in a 34-year-old male after four I-PRF sessions, improved skin texture and reduced pigmentation in a 39-year-old female after three sessions, temporary reduction of nasolabial folds in a 40-year-old female after one session, and complete healing of a wound in a 42-year-old male after three sessions. The document suggests that I-PRF could be a promising alternative to PRP, offering advantages like not requiring anticoagulants, being cost-effective, and providing a longer-lasting release of growth factors. However, it calls for larger studies to confirm these preliminary findings.
