TLDR The woman had a benign bone tumor removed from her leg and remained healthy with no issues 8 years later.
A 26-year-old woman presented with left leg pain and was diagnosed with a giant cell tumor of the proximal fibula, a benign bone tumor. Despite its uncommon location, the tumor's radiographic appearance was classic for this type. The patient also exhibited features of pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism, such as short stature and shortened metacarpals and metatarsals, but without mental retardation or abnormal lab results typical of pseudohypoparathyroidism. The tumor was surgically excised, and at an 8-year follow-up, there was no recurrence, and the patient maintained full range of motion and no functional deficits.
