TLDR Dopamine agonists like pramipexole and ropinirole can cause reversible hair loss.
The document reported on two postmenopausal women with Parkinson's disease (PD) who developed alopecia while being treated with the dopamine agonists pramipexole and ropinirole. The hair loss partially reversed after discontinuing the drugs. Both women had no prior history of hair loss or dermatologic disorders. This reversible alopecia had been previously associated with other dopaminergic drugs like bromocriptine, pergolide, or levodopa, but not with pramipexole or ropinirole.
