i used toppik for a while, but it's just messy, messy. you'll be afraid of anyone touching you after you put it on. i also felt like it made my hair look dull. it might be useful for a photo session under controlled lighting.

The good: Decent to great results depending on how much fuzz you have. The bad: Doesn't stop loss, doesn't work on shiny-bald areas, rubs off on pillows. Bottom Line: Looks good, but just conceals the problem, and the product rubbing off may make you nervous. Price Per Dose: $0.66 USD

Toppik is a commercially marketed product that temporarily and superficially thickens hair. It is applied topically by first applying a hairspray-like substance, then sprinkling a color-matched, keratin-based dust which adheres to the spray.
Toppik was introduced in 1996 by Spencer Forrest Inc., a Connecticut-based company.
Toppik comes in eight colors:
- Auburn
- Black
- Dark Brown
- Medium Brown
- Light Brown
- Blonde
- Gray
- White
Toppik is said to be "statically charged" to increase adhesion. [1]
[edit] Downsides
There is an art to the application. Despite claims to the contrary, Toppik has a tendency to rub off on various things-- hands, pillows, etc.
Because the product needs existing hair to cling to, it will work best in men with diffuse thinning and "peach fuzz". Even then, it is said to look best in forgiving light.
