ACell is a commercially marketed product based on extracellular matrix technology. The product is applied topically.
ACell is developed and manufactured by ACell, Inc, a Jessup, Maryland-based company involved in regenerative medicine.
ACell is derived from pig bladder and applied on open wounds. The product has been shown to regrow all or most tissue in veterinary application, including the fur and hair[1] , and for this reason it has been suggested that it may do the same in post-operative hair transplant patients.
